Dr. Elacqua knew the Lord as a child and became a born again believer in January of 1995 when she surrender herself to Jesus and accepted Him as her personal Lord and Savior. She began studying and applying God’s Word to her life. She has had numerous opportunities to share God’s Word through leading Bible studies and teaching as a college professor at two Christian Institutions of Higher Education.
Dr. Elacqua and her husband, Laird R. Jones, M.S., J.D., have three children, Hannah Maria, Christina, and Rachel (baby in heaven), and a number of fury beings. Dr. Elacqua’s parents were murdered on October 26, 2005. She lost her baby on December 15, 2006, and her youngest was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at age four — all of which provide her with personal experience as a survivor of life’s struggles. These personal experiences have resulted in a deeper walk with the Lord and a passion to use her God-given academic credentials and testimony to turn others to the only Hope there is, Jesus Christ.
